Ryman Auditorium is a popular Concert hall Theatre Broadcast venue in Nashville TN having 2,362 seats. Formerly known as Grand Ole Opry House and Union Gospel Tabernacle located in 116 5th Avenue North, in Nashville, Tennessee. It was the past home of Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974 when the famous artists debut their Opry careers like Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline. In 1890 the foundation of the Ryman auditorium completed and originally built in 1892. The first music concert held in Ryman Auditorium was May music festival with the Theodore Thomas Orchestra. It is currently owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. It was registered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 but later designated as National Historic Landmark on June 25, 2001, because of the popularizing country music.
Ryman hosted venue like alternative rock, bluegrass, blues, country, classical, folk, gospel, jazz, pop, and rock concerts, as well as musical theater and stand-up comedy. Ryman also serves as a wedding hall where lots of wedding take place. Previously, Ryman Auditorium considered as the theatre in Nashville but later it considered as a country music stage. The stage got replaced with medium-brown Brazilian teak in Jan 2012. In January 2015, it got for another renovation and expansion, but lack of funding delayed the construction of the project. Eventually, US$14,000,000 was funded and the renovation started which includes expansion of the lobby space, expanded restrooms, concessions, and a gift shop, as well as a new quick-service restaurant called “Cafe Lula”, named in memory of Lula C.
